Mountain Province Diamonds appoints Stuart Brown to the Board of Directors, President and CEO

Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. ("Mountain Province", the "Company") (TSX and NASDAQ: MPVD) announced the appointment of Stuart Brown as the Company's new permanent President and CEO, and as a member of the Company's board of directors, both effective July 1, 2018.

Mr. Stuart Brown commented; "I am delighted to have joined Mountain Province and look forward to working with the board and the senior management team as we explore opportunities to build on the solid base we have achieved so far. There are a number of value adding workstreams that still need to be executed. I look forward to updating the market with this information when appropriate."

Mountain Province Diamonds is a 49% participant with De Beers Canada in the Gahcho Kué diamond mine located in Canada's Northwest Territories. Gahcho Kué is the world's largest new diamond mine, consisting of a cluster of four diamondiferous kimberlites, three of which are being developed and mined under the initial 12 year mine plan.
