Mining and Natural Resources law expert Steve Vaughan joins Dorsey

Steve Vaughan has joined International law firm, Dorsey & Whitney LLP's Toronto office.

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Steve Vaughan has joined the Firm’s Toronto office.

Mr. Vaughan brings a unique background to the Firm as a geologist and attorney. He has practiced law for more than 40 years in the mining, oil and gas, geothermal, coal bed methane and nuclear industries.

Mr. Vaughan has advised and represented international companies, served on many governmental advisory committees and, in recent years, been involved in natural resources transactions in more than 65 countries. He is a member or director of numerous professional and trade associations including the Toronto Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the joint Toronto Stock Exchange/Ontario Securities Commission Mining Standards Task Force.

Mr. Vaughan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from University of New Brunswick, a Master of Science degree in Geology from McGill University and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of New Brunswick.
