FORT ST. JOHN, BC, Feb. 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Surerus Pipeline Inc. and Surerus Murphy Joint Venture (SMJV) are pleased to announce that Sean Surerus has been appointed President of Surerus Pipeline Inc. In addition, Sean will continue to serve on SMJV's Executive and Board of Directors. The transition was effective January 22, 2018.
Sean has served as Vice President of Surerus Pipeline since 2012 and of SMJV for the past three years. He will take over as President from Brian Surerus. Brian founded the company in 1969 and will remain active in the pipeline business' operations as CEO.

Chris Pezoulas will assume the role of Vice President – Operations at SMJV following a 25 year career at TransCanada Pipelines where he was most recently Project Director of the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission project.

Sean Surerus joined Surerus Pipeline Inc. in 2001 where he has developed a broad range of experience across the company's pipeline operations. Starting in the field as a project analyst after graduating from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Sean has held numerous positions, progressing to the role of Vice President in 2012. Sean has helped to lead the development of SMJV and the growth of Surerus into a national industry leader. Sean is an active volunteer and is a current board member of BC's Small Business Roundtable.
Chris Pezoulas is a Mechanical Engineer and a leading energy professional with 25 years in the pipeline industry. Chris has lived and worked across Canada having held various and progressively senior roles in design, engineering, maintenance, operations, mergers and acquisitions and major projects. As a past member of the Operations Committee of the Canadian Gas Association, Chris' teams have been recognized for initiatives and accomplishments in improving employee safety. Chris has a proven track record of providing leadership to large multidiscipline organizations, being responsible for the operations, maintenance and development of multibillion-dollar assets and delivering significant value.
