Maritime Iron Inc. (“Maritime Iron” or the “Company”) a privately-owned Canadian development company advancing a merchant pig iron production facility in New Brunswick, Canada, today announced the recent additions of five experienced individuals to its senior leadership team.
- Anna Ladd-Kruger, Chief Financial Officer
- Rinaldo Stefan, Chief Operating Officer and Project Director
- Dan Donnelly, Construction Manager
- Grant Gaudet, Environmental, Health and Safety Manager
- Richard Gaspari, Engineering Manager

Anna Ladd-Kruger
Ms. Ladd-Kruger joins the Company with 20 years of experience in the finance and mining industry. She has served as the VP Finance and CFO of Trevali Mining Corporation, Sulliden Gold Corp. Ltd., Crowflight Minerals Inc., and other privately held grass roots exploration companies. She has also held senior positions with various mining companies including Kinross Gold and Vale Inco mining operations. Ms. Ladd-Kruger is a Certified Public Accountant and holds Master Degree in Economics from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.
Rinaldo Stefan
Mr. Stefan joins Maritime Iron as Chief Operating Officer and Project Director. He is an engineer and Project Manager with over 20 years of management experience specializing in the development of processing plants of varying complexity and sizes up to mega-projects through all phases. His previous projects include the Vale’s +$4 billion Long Harbour Processing Plant for Voisey’s Bay, the +$25 billion development program for BHP Billiton’s Jansen and Young potash deposits and the expansion of Baffinland’s Mary River Mine.
Dan Donnelly
Mr. Donnelly has over 30 years of construction management experience for industrial and mining projects across Eastern and Central Canada as well as the U.S. He was the of Construction Manager for Vale’s multi-billion Hydromet Nickel Processing Facility in Long Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Grant Gaudet
Mr. Gaudet is an EH&S professional with over 30 years of industrial experience, leading the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of world class EH&S management systems. He has been involved in seven different EH&S programs through design, construction, commissioning and start-ups, including for Baffinland Mining, Vale’s Long Harbour Project, Shell’s Albian Sands Energy, and Shell’s Muskeg River Operating Plant.
Richard Gaspari
Mr. Gaspari has over 20 years of experience with large engineering design firms, leading the process engineering design, execution and coordination for capital projects of various sizes and complexity, from conceptual through detailed design stages. He has led the development and preparation of process engineering design packages that incorporate proprietary process technology from third parties, including entire operating processes. Most recently he was involved with NOVA Chemicals’ +$2 billion AST2 facility.
Maritime Iron Inc. is a privately-owned Canadian development company advancing a merchant pig iron production facility in New Brunswick, Canada. Maritime Iron’s project will produce approximately 1.5 million tonnes annually, of high-quality pig iron for sale to steel mills and foundries in North America and Europe. The project will integrate with the local power generating station, significantly lowering the environmental footprint of both facilities when in full production.
