Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – K+S Potash Canada GP (KSPC) is honoured to be named one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for the fifth year in a row. This designation follows KSPC being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2018 in November.
“K+S Potash Canada is honoured to be recognized as one of the Top Employers both provincially and nationally,” said Dr. Ulrich Lamp, President and CEO of KSPC. “We are excited to enter into our first full year of operation with a strong, dedicated team of employees who have made these designations possible.”
The company celebrated the grand opening of its Bethune mine (formerly the Legacy Project) in May 2017 and produced its first tonnes of potash the following month.
“Our employees have demonstrated a true pioneering spirit, coming together to build something from the ground up,” said Maryann Deutscher, Senior Manager, Human Resources. “Now that we’re in operation, that same perseverance and focus is being applied to operating the newest solution potash mine in the province in nearly 50 years.”
Saskatchewan's Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the Leader-Post and The Star Phoenix. Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
