Is another play on famed Wild Horse Creek shaping up? The Wild Horse Creek located in the East Kootenay region of southeast British Columbia, of course, was the site of a large gold strike back in 1864 and that prompted a gold rush into the mountain canyon. The major gold find had petered out by the 1900's but not until some $15-$30 million worth of gold was extracted. Prospectors and mining companies have continued to work in the region ever since.
The Gold Hill property was recently acquired by American Creek. The property is located in the heart of the historic Wild Horse River gold rush area near Fort Steele, BC and holds promise for potentially being an originating source of the historic placer gold. An initial field program involving sampling, mapping and locating the historic adits has begun. Also, the Corporation has received multiple offers to option/JV/purchase the property and is in the process of evaluating those offers.
American Creek Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:AMK) (“American Creek” or “the Corporation”) reported back in March 2015 that it had acquired the Gold Hill and D1-McBride mineral properties located in British Columbia, Canada. American Creek purchased a 100% interest in the two properties and will issue 3,900,000 common shares of the Corporation as full payment in the transaction. The property package was purchased from long time prospector Dave Javorsky.
The Gold Hill property covers approximately 418 hectares and is located in the Fort Steele Mining Division near Fort Steele. The property is located in the Boulder Creek drainage, a headwater tributary of the Wild Horse River, a historic gold placer producer.
American Creek Resources Ltd. is a Canadian junior mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral deposits within the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
